Established in 2010, Provincetown Community Television (PTV) is the nonprofit community media center serving the Town of Provincetown, Massachusetts.

PTV is funded by subsidies from local Xfinity television subscriptions, as well as donations, grants and sponsorships.

Our Mission

PTV is committed to empowering our community through active engagement with media as  creators and viewers. PTV provides affordable access to training and technologies for all  Provincetown residents, businesses, and organizations, so that every person may become an active, vocal participant in the civic and creative life of our unique and diverse community. 

Why is community media important?

Public access media centers provide production tools, training, and support for people to tell their own stories. 

Public access centers champion free speech and artistic expression and support the creation of content that is unimpeded by regulatory control and commercial influence. PTV’s channels and online sites are where you can see yourself, your friends, and your neighbors creating and appearing in locally-made content.
