Why is community media important?

Public access media centers provide production tools, training, and support for people to tell their own stories.

Public access media centers champion free speech and artistic expression, and support the creation of content that is unimpeded by regulatory control and commercial influence.

Funded by subsidies from local Xfinity television subscriptions, as well as donations, grants and sponsorships, PTV’s channels and online sites are where you can see yourself, your friends, and your neighbors creating and appearing in locally-made content.
