In the heart of the renowned Provincetown arts scene is a new community space.
Located on the 2nd Floor of 330 Commercial St. Provincetown, MA Motion Works is part of Provincetown Community Television. It is a gallery and education space primarily focused on display and creation of video artwork. Motion Works is a gallery focused on video art, installation and motion art works. We embrace new media forms of expression and encourage exploration beyond traditional art.
Provincetown is known as an arts community and one of the oldest art colonies in America. The history is deep! We believe this art colony reputation comes with a responsibility not only to the history of visual arts but to the present and future of artistic work. The gallery space aims to show work of an experimental sort with emphasis on video and motion based art. It is meant to encompass a lot of possibilities and not limit creators. This can include, installation work, video projection, sound design and more. This is a place for creativity to flourish and for visitors to take in exciting work that stimulates the senses. |
